in the hush of night when the world fades away,
you curl beside me; my shadow, my stay.
velvet paws and silent grace,
the only calm in this frantic place.
through heartbreak’s ache and joy’s wild gleam,
you’ve wandered with me through every dream.
when no one saw the tears I cried,
you stayed, unwavering, at my side.
your purrs are lullabies, soft and true,
more healing than anything this world could do.
from movie nights to late-night snacks,
you held my heart whenever it cracked.
i’ve grown and stumbled, loved and lost,
and through it all, you bore no cost.
just endless patience, quiet and wise,
a universe reflected in your aging eyes.
eighteen years of moonlit love,
sent by something gentle above.
if souls are stitched in threads divine,
then surely, my dearest girl, you’re sewn into mine.
so here’s my vow, my little queen,
to love you softly, loud, and unseen.
you are my best friend, my comfort, my all,
forever my Snowball, regal and small.
for Snowball—my little queen, my constant companion,
and one of the
greatest loves of my life.

you arrive like a soft sigh,
a silver tide that washes over me.
the world slows, fractures, dissolves—
and for a moment, I am free.
your touch is velvet and void,
a dance of light in a shadowed mind.
you wrap me in a neon mist,
where pain and sorrow are hard to find.
I chase you, my elusive muse,
your promise written in starlit haze.
a fleeting glimpse of peace,
and in your arms, I’ll lose the days.
but in your glow, I’ve grown hollow,
drifting in currents I cannot control.
your beauty pulls, but leaves me stranded—
a wandering ghost without a soul.
I love you and I hate you the same,
you’ve made me feel and you’ve made me numb.
each dose a kiss, a fragile balm,
yet I know the end will someday come.
what is joy if not borrowed?
what is love if it leaves me weak?
you’re the void where I find solace,
but you’re not the freedom that I seek.
so I stay in your shimmering chains,
floating far from where I began.
you are my savior, my captor,
my escape—but also my undoing.

as I climb into bed like a queen to her throne,
remote in my hand—finally found, finally owned.
this long plastic scepter summons my peace,
here to pause and to play, to let the world briefly cease.
beside me, you linger, my favorite vice,
passing back a Miami Mint electric cloud twice,
in a trusting exchange, a flicker, a spark,
two lovers half-lit in the neon pink dark.
the television hums with a Trance-laced delight,
casting soft pulses of rhythm and light,
its glow kissed deeper by the LEDs stuck behind,
bleeding a warm color like thoughts in my mind.
and my laptop awaits—dutiful, bright,
a portal to purpose in the middle of night.
I tap the keys softly, ambitions disguised
as “just one more task” beneath my tired eyes.
my phone drinks quietly from its wired vein,
restoring its pulse again and again,
plugged into that clever, many-mouthed spine
that feeds all my lifelines at once, all in line.
a Hello Kitty clock blinks sweetly in time,
keeping my chaos in rhythm and rhyme,
while a purple lamp glows like a dream half-remembered,
and across the room, its red twin burns tender.
and next to me you sit, and by my side there you stay,
lost in your world, in your own digital fray,
fingers firing through some distant Arc raid,
while your machine hums, plugged in and obeyed.
and suddenly—strange, almost funny, divine—
it hits me mid-stretch as I settle and recline:
this whole little life, this soft, glowing scene,
is all stitched together by circuits unseen.
every comfort, each flicker, each hum in the air,
each quiet convenience I barely declare—
they’re ubiquitous, everywhere, wrapped in my night,
invisible threads made of current and light.
and I laugh—just a little, as I reckon, amused—
how deeply I’m plugged in, how sweetly I’m fused,
a girl in her bed with her world at her side,
in love, in a glow, electric and alive.
